Odorous Ants
Identifying Odorous Ant Problems
The odorous house ant (Tapinoma sessile) is a small black ant (1/8 inch long), with one node (arrow) that is not easily visible. Odorous ant problems form colonies and nest under debris and other materials on the surface of the ground. Odorous ant problems can nest indoors, and there may be several Odorous ant infestations in and around a structure. When crushed, the ant gives off a particular odor - like rotting coconuts.
